OUR HISTORY
YEAR FOUNDED
The history of the Office of the College Registrar (OCR) at Paranaque City College (PCC) is a testament to the institution's growth and commitment to providing quality education to its students. PCC, initially established as a Technical-Vocational education institution on February 6, 2014, expanded its offerings by September 16, 2014, to include short courses such as Front Office Services NCII, Contact Center Service NCII, Housekeeping NCII, Food and Beverage Services NCII, Cookery NCII, and Bookkeeping NCIII. This expansion necessitated the establishment of a Registrar's Office to handle the enrollment and registration processes for these courses.
In its early stages, the Registrar's Office operated with a single staff member who managed enrollment, registration, and addressed the various concerns of the students. However, as Paranaque City experienced growth in its industrial and commercial sectors, Mayor Edwin De Leon Olivarez recognized the need to provide free Baccalaureate programs to the city's youth, opening more opportunities for employment within the local establishments.

CHED OCR
In January 2019, the Registrar's Office underwent formal establishment, expanding its team to five (5) personnel. The Registrar led the team, supported by an Admission Officer and three additional staff members.
Entrance examinations were conducted in May 2019, and successful candidates were given schedules for enrollment in their chosen programs. This marked the commencement of the first batch of students in the Baccalaureate Programs of Paranaque City College.
Today, the Registrar's Office has evolved into a more robust team with six (6) personnel dedicated to managing enrollment and registration. The office follows policies related to student admission, registration, credit validation and evaluation, grading system, residency and retention, graduation requirements, and other pertinent matters.
CHED PROGRAMS
Entrance examinations were conducted in May 2019, and successful candidates were given schedules for enrollment in their chosen programs. This marked the commencement of the first batch of students in the Baccalaureate Programs of Paranaque City College.
The office played a pivotal role in preparing for the launch of three Baccalaureate programs: Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management, Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship, and Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Management. The documentation process for the approval of these programs by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) began, paving the way for the June opening of classes.

CERTIFICATE OF PROGRAM COMPLETION
In 2023, Paranaque City College (PCC) achieved a significant milestone when it was awarded the Certificate of Program Completion by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for all its Baccalaureate programs, namely BS Entrepreneurship, BS Real Estate Management, and BS Tourism Management. This recognition underscored the institution's dedication to maintaining and exceeding academic standards in these programs.
The successful completion of this certification marked a pivotal moment in PCC's journey, affirming the institution's commitment to providing high-quality education and ensuring that its programs met the rigorous standards set by CHED.
INSTITUTIONAL RECOGNITION
Building on this achievement, PCC is currently gearing up for the next phase of recognition – Institutional Recognition. The institution is actively preparing for this acknowledgment, demonstrating its continuous commitment to excellence in education and adherence to the regulatory standards set by CHED. The pursuit of Institutional Recognition signifies PCC's ongoing efforts to establish itself as a reputable and recognized educational institution within the higher education landscape.
As the Registrar's Office continues to play a central role in managing these processes, the team remains dedicated to ensuring that all policies related to student admission, registration, credit validation and evaluation, grading systems, residency and retention, and graduation requirements align with the highest standards set forth by CHED. This recognition serves as a testament to PCC's dedication to academic excellence and positions the institution as a valuable contributor to the higher education landscape in the region.
