July 29, 2024 - The Gymnasium at Parañaque City College buzzed with excitement as Mr. Jorge Erwin A. Rada, RL, MLIS, MBA, the College Registrar, spearheaded the orientation sessions information on registrar for the incoming freshmen. This event, organized by the Office of Student Affairs and Services, aimed to equip new students with essential information and a warm welcome to the college community.


The morning session was dedicated to the students of Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Management and Bachelor of Science in Tourism. Mr. Rada, known for his engaging and informative presentations, took responsibility for informing the students about the roles, functions, services, and important policies and procedures of the Office of the College Registrar. He also presented key personnel from the Registrar's Office who will assist them throughout their academic journey at Parañaque City College.


Roles and Functions of the Office of the College Registrar
Mr. Rada explained that the Office of the College Registrar is the central administrative office responsible for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and security of all student records. The Registrar’s Office plays a crucial role in the academic journey of students, overseeing various key functions including:


Enrollment and Registration: Handling the enrollment process, course registrations, and maintaining accurate records of student enrollment.


Academic Records Management: Ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of student academic records, including grades, transcripts, and graduation requirements.
 

Class Scheduling: Coordinating the scheduling of classes, exams, and academic calendars in collaboration with the academic departments.


Certification and Documentation: Issuing academic certifications, transcripts, diplomas, and other official documents.
 

Adherence to Policies: Enforcing college policies and procedures related to academics, including grading policies, academic integrity, and graduation requirements.

Final Deliberation for Batch 2024 Graduating Students

July, 12, 29224 - We are excited to announce the ongoing final deliberation for the graduating students of Batch 2024 at Parañaque City College. This significant event, which began on July 11 and continues on July 12, involves esteemed Deans, Program Chairs, and Faculty Representatives from various departments, including Hospitality Management Services, BS Entrepreneurship, BS Real Estate Management, and BS Tourism Management.


During this final deliberation, our dedicated panel is meticulously evaluating the academic credentials of graduating students in their respective degree programs. Led by the Office of the College Registrar, this process ensures that every student's achievement and hard work are thoroughly reviewed and acknowledged.


Throughout July 11 and 12, the Deans, Program Chairs, and Faculty Representatives from Hospitality Management Services, BS Entrepreneurship, BS Real Estate Management, and BS Tourism Management are carefully assessing the academic performance and preparedness of the graduating students in their specialized fields. Mr. Jorge Erwin A. Rada the head of the Office of the College Registrar led the session, shedding light on the intricacies of the Registrar's operations and introduced the PCC Calendar of Activities for the Academic Year 2024-2025.Held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at the PCC Audio Visual Room, the presentation provided valuable insights into the critical role of the Registrar's Office in ensuring the seamless functioning of academic processes.

In a proactive move towards ensuring the timely issuance of Special Orders for Batch 2023 graduates, Record Officer Ms. Pearly Ogabar and Ms. Lorna Delloro, the College Registrar 1 went at the Commission on Higher Education National Capital Region (CHED NCR) office. The purpose of their visit was to follow up on and submission of necessary documents for graduates majoring in BS Entrepreneurship, BS Real Estate Management, and BS Tourism Management

Led by a collaborative effort among the PCC-OCR personnel, representatives arrived at CHED NCR armed with meticulously compiled documentation to facilitate the process smoothly. These documents encompassed a comprehensive array of academic records, including transcripts, grades, and other pertinent certificates necessary for CHED's verification and approval.

Upon their arrival, our personnel were greeted by CHED NCR officials who acknowledged the significance of their visit and the urgency surrounding the issuance of Special Orders. The officials assured them of their full cooperation and support in expediting the process to ensure timely delivery of the Special Orders to the deserving graduates.

During the meeting, both parties engaged in constructive dialogue aimed at streamlining the verification process while upholding the standards of academic integrity. 1st Commencement Exercise for Bachelor's Degrees

Parañaque City College marked a historic moment on November 29, 2023, as it hosted its 1st Commencement Exercise for Bachelor's Degrees at the Parañaque City Sports Complex. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including the Honorable Mayor Eric L. Olivarez and the distinguished Congressman of the 1st District of Parañaque City, Honorable Congressman Edwin L. Olivarez. Also in attendance were several City Councilors and the Vice Mayor, adding prestige to the ceremony.

The ceremony commemorated the achievements of 693 graduates across three programs: BS Entrepreneurship, BS Real Estate Management, and BS Tourism Management. These graduates exhibited remarkable dedication and academic prowess throughout their academic journey, and the commencement exercise served as a testament to their hard work and perseverance.
